We only go to child friendly restaurants/pubs, preferably with soft soft play or space. We now stick to the same places, but there isn't any decent website/search engine that will allow you to fine tune a search.
For example interested in somewhere with an outdoor garden/play area/child friendly that serves food all day, then you're fooked or real ale, no kids, real fire place for November. Night out for pool?
Which could mean that as there are fewer kiddies they are doted upon
I think HJ's right here. There aren't too many kids around, so they're welcome. Besides, Italians tend to be quite well mannered people (outside of their cars) and that rubs off on their children.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014
it's just not that simple as you will allways get people taking kids to where they are not wanted & adults wanting a quiet life in a kid orientated place
Well that basically defines two types of dickhead. I don't think we should organise the world based on their opinions.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
So you're saying that kids shouldn't be allowed on planes now then right?
Paraphrasing what I said in to a sweeping generalisation is a bit disingenuous don't you think ?
I was talking about the potential harm that young babies can suffer when flying. It's commonly accepted and every parent would know that within 2 weeks of birth is a no-no, and certain precautions are advised if under 2 years old (which yours was).
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
In what resepct? Do you just dislike them in general? Were you ever a small child? I guess mummy and daddy always had you under perfect control. It seems society today is so anti children - its refreshing to go to Italy or France were its the norm to take children out with you for a meal.
Don't like small kids and as for ever having any I prefer having a life (like MTT and HJ), and that's my choice, if other people wish to pro create then that's their choice.
As for growing up, yes my parents did have us under "perfect control" but that was because we'd having the living daylights thrashed out of us if we didn't. Also that was at a time when parents didn't bring children out and about till they were relatively old enough.
As for parents abroad its inherent in the culture to take kids out and teach them table manners and how to enjoy food, whereas here its not in the culture unfortunately and children grow up not understanding how to enjoy food and where it comes from.
