Benz C Class or E Class diesel estate; fine on the snow if you have winter tyres. Once you're used to it, rear wheel drive is actually easier to correct on a slippery surface, and the E-Class is very forgiving n that sense. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? No worries. I am in similar situation although my youngest is 2 and have had my eye on one of these, unfortunately I think it comes from the same shed as the jag (someone correct me if I'm wrong).Originally posted by Peoplesoft bloke View PostGood call - thank you - not really a problem about putting her in the back as she climbs in herself these days.Comment

I think you're broadly right, not sure who owns what at the moment, but pretty certain that both Jag and Volvo were Ford owned a few years back.Originally posted by conned tractor View PostNo worries. I saw dozens of abandoned Mercs this last winter.
And BMW's too.

Buy Which or What Car and look to see what they recommend in the class of car you are after. Then avoid.
As for headlights - you can get a pair of Philips Xenon bulbs to replace the standard fitment that are nearly as bright as HiD without the £750 cost.Comment

Those Lexus are tiny inside. Once the kiddy got older than 3 they'd struggle. And that website says 31mpg. I couldn't afford the fuel for that. My thoroughly unglamorous (but huge inside space) Skoda Superb 2.5TDi does just over 48mpg on my weekly commute to/from Surrey.Public Service Posting by the BBC - Bloggs Bulls**t Corp.
