Why not a BMW (aside from them being a bit rubbish in the snow)? Very solidly made, well engineered cars and you get to feel just that bit superior to all the other povs on the road in their Renaults and Vauxhalls and Fords and all those other ordinary marques.

I've had a few BMW's and there not as well screwed together as an Audi. Audi's are much 'cooler' than BMW's in my opinion, a nice A4 2.7 TDI Avant is spot on.

For this reason, I think that most BMW drivers who think they are superior, actually are Superior Cocks

Personally I would put it the other way round, Audi drivers seem to have turned into right cocks now and Audi's, unless the RS series, are definitely not cool - the company or salesmans car of choice nowadays...

Now how about an Alpina B3S BiTurbo AWD - has everything you've asked for, is an estate and has 400bhp and goes faster than some Porsches yet has reasonably good fuel consumption and CO2 output.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

I don't think you can get the AWD Aplina/BMW's in the UK, except the X1, X3, X5 and X6.

+1 for Audi. A4 estate with the 3.2 TFSi & quattro and you're good for snow, children, and luxury.

The Merc C class is nice as well.

              +1 for winter tires too.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

He wanted good ride quality. All Audis are hard as nails. Suspension like concrete.

                  you are a contractor!

                  Get a Porsche Turbo

                  4x4 - check
                  headlights - check
                  fast - fooking check
not embarrasing for work - check

screw budget and mpg considerations - in 5 years you can sell it for more than you pay today because it is a future classic.

In who's world is a 'small executive saloon' powered by a converted tractor engine "cool"? Not mine.

Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti, e-Type Jag - these are examples of "cool" cars. The very fact that Audi drivers have convinced themselves that they are cruising around in something that's "cool" says a lot about them. It's a bit like when adults tell left handed or ginger children that they're "special".

If they're so cool, why are so many of them driven by fat middle aged blokes that look like Ron Jeremy and wear golf sweaters in public?
