I know why I do it - same as most people - escapism. I feel shackled by the work and once a few pints have gone down I feel like the handcuffs have been taken off and i'm on holiday for a few hours.

Three more years of this work and i'm out of the game. Should be able to do a mini-retirement on a modest income if I can keep working for another three years at current levels.

So stop binge drinking and grow up then.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I suppose I am a bit like the aussie, except I dont get guilt or sweats. I did stop drinking for a couple of weeks after new years, doubled my food intake and still lost a stone.

my usual routine (to avoid guilt and sweats) is to have three pints of beer for every pint of beer I have. It works well, its simple and its easy to remember when you are whazzed
