the trick is not to listen too hardOriginally posted by ilovehr View PostVery topical at the moment....
Last weekend I treated myself to a pair of Grado GR8 in ear headphones. I listen to my iPod whilst working so I've got earphones in for at least 5 hours a day and I want the best possible quality. They cost £300 but sound fantastic.
My wife bought a pair of Jimmy Choo court shoes for the same price yesterday.
Apparently, my headphones are "a waste of money, what's wrong with the Apple ones?" but her shoes are "an investment as she will wear them at least twice a year at weddings etc and they are gorgeous"

The divorce lawyers are going to chew you up and sh1t you out. Damn it, I'll testify to your unreasonable behaviour. I can hear it now: 'Headphones, indeed, your Honour. The Apple ones are perfectly adequate.'Originally posted by ilovehr View PostI only apologise when I'm wrong.
I've only ever been wrong once and that's when I thought I was wrong and found out I wasn't.Comment

No, he's right, there is no appreciable difference in sound between a pair of £15 shoes from New Look and a pair of Jimmy Choos. I just had a listen and can confirm that.Originally posted by cailin maith View PostBlasphemy!!!!

Try listening where your ear drums have been perforated with the stiletto. You don't get that for £15.Originally posted by dang65 View PostNo, he's right, there is no appreciable difference in sound between a pair of £15 shoes from New Look and a pair of Jimmy Choos. The first two statements follow from the last - a rare example of backward causation.Originally posted by Pondlife View PostSurely the first two statements are largely irrelevant. The result will always be the same.

I've already been chewed up by divorce lawyers with the last one
I thought this one was different but it appears that when it comes to shoes, women are united!Originally posted by Old Greg View PostThe divorce lawyers are going to chew you up and sh1t you out. The thing is, your missus can listen to both stes of headphones and say they sound the same.
I would suggest you wear both her sets of shoes and complain they both make your feet hurt after a couple of hours in the gym.Comment
