Irrespective what the actual reasons for him being sacked are, he's highlighting the fact that there's a functional difference between men and women. It's only in the last 40 years that womens roles have changed drastically, largely due to the feminist movement compared to the whole of history. And with that according to leading thinkers there's been the inevitable consequence of disintegration of society. I don't think it's crass or to be considered living in the dark ages to hold such an opinion (based on sound research).

He thinks that a woman can't/won't/doesn't know the offside rule because she is a woman. Ignoring the fact that she will have taken exams and undergone several forms of selection etc as well as had quite a lot of experience at "lower" level matches.

PS I am a man and I think the offside rule is somewhat less than clear - as far as I can see "being active/influencing play" doesn't make sense WFT are you doing on the pitch if you aren't active/influencing play ??

Perhaps you can provide some citations for those of us who haven't had the opportunity of studying the findings of this "sound research". The names of some of those "leading thinkers" might help too.
