...where agents go on holiday, what's Barbuda like? St Vincent and the Grenadines? Barbados? Anguilla? Anyone care to make a recommendation?

So if Antigua's a dump...
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014 -
Barbados is very nice. It's a while since I have been, but it's a beautiful island, and nighlife is good in St Lawrence Gap.
My favourite island that I have visited is St Lucia though. Really nice place, loads to do other than the beach.
Would be my recommendation... -
+1 for St lucia, though I really enjoyed my holiday in Jamaica a couple of years ago. I stayed near Montego Bay but drove around the southern part of Jamaica extensively, really enjoyed it.Public Service Posting by the BBC - Bloggs Bulls**t Corp.

+1 for St Lucia (I got married to Mrs F there). We stayed at the Wyndham Morgan Bay Resort, but, to be fair, I've not been anywhere else in the Caribbean and it was 13 years ago.
I've not been much help really, have I?Illegitimus non carborundum est!Comment

Bonaire, especially for diving. Beaches aren't really the best but what's underneath is fantastic and easily accessible.
Also, no big hotels, no chavs, loads of good value eateries.
Same SqKm as Aruba which has a pop of 90K, Bonaire pop is 14KComment

OK, so it's St Lucia, Barbados and Bonaire. Now then, I'll assume there's plenty of fresh fish to eat; I suppose all the vino comes from Chile and Argentina? Can't be bad.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Id go the other way and do Maldives, depends if you can handle the lack of real nightlife, for me though, grub, diving and a stack of books is all I need to keep myself amused for a fortnight.
Been to Jamaica and the countryside is absolutely stunning, unbelievably so. Plus bought a massive bag of the local green straight after arriving for a few quid, which was nice.
Problem was that the area was proper dodgy and a load of our fellow holidayees got mugged at some stage when in town or driven out into the sticks by taxi drivers and dropped off in the middle of nowhere at gunpoint sans-cash. Didn't have any mither ourselves though.Comment

Maldives is definitely worth going but make sure you find the right island. The islands all differ in offering you specialisations in diving, accomodation, food, all inclusives, quiet, private beach, trips, activities. Watch the "party people" islands if you wanted to go for the Robinson Crusoe holiday.
Went to Royal Island many years ago, would love to go to Banyan Tree, Sonevafushi or one of the top quiet ones and just snorkle, eat lobster, drink coconut cocktails and sleep in a moored Twin Otter.
Have been to Anguilla which was fairly nice - some good seafood restaurants, went cycling, boat trip to St Kitts (I think, can't remember), nice beaches but we were in a luxury villa. Horrendous queuing at Anguilla airport though...If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.Comment
