My degree was in modern languages, well three of them to be precise.
IT just paid better than translating or teaching, and the languages have helped with my current business.
Edit: I guess that make me an AndyW as I have never gained any formal IT qualification.Comment

HND in software Engineering at college. Then (for some unfathomable reason that seemed a good idea at the time) did the BCS part II. Did some professional certifications - SSADM, Windows 98, Oracle something or other...Comment

In IT I only have a certification.
In accounting I have a bachelor.
Seems to be working ok though.
