Sounds like you need to toughen up your regime or you will be in a world of hurt in a few years time.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostTried karate classes. SY03 cried, he didn't like the shouting.

Get yourself a 2-man ridge tent and walk the little fooker the length of the Pennine Way making him carry the rucksack. If he starts blubbing then threaten to leave him on his own. By the end of the week you will have a mini "Ray Mears" on your hands that will never need you to wipe his arse ever again. Mind you, you might find that your cat ends up on the Bar-B-Q at some stage, but they are easily replaced.

There's your problem, letting them come back in every 5min. Wrap them up warm, kick them out and tell them they can't come back until lunchtime. After lunch, kick them out until it's getting dark.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostIn the winter however, suprisingly they prefer to stay in the warm, and we prefer it too as they then don't trudge mud into the house every 5 minutes while bringing their demands.
Solved! And before people start complaining about child brutality - this is exactly how most in my father's generation were raised, and his father's generation too.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

MF - 4-5yr is a good age for them to start martial arts.
We have taken 3 year olds before but they don't have the concentration.
My little girl, just turned 8 had her first sparing session at kickboxing on friday with a lad who is 10.
It only lasted 10 secs, the lad dropped his guard and daughter just landed a jab right on the nose and there was blood everywhere. She started crying saying she never ment it
I said sure you ment to hit him there, but not that hard. BTW it was a cracking shot though

I think it's good for discipline, concentration as well as fitness. I did mine really late and I think earlier would have been better. Not sure if Karate or Judo yet.Originally posted by FiveTimes View PostMF - 4-5yr is a good age for them to start martial arts.

Judo they're less likely to try fancy kicks on their mates. It's also arguably more useful IRL if that's of any relevance at allOriginally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

I would disagree that its more useful IRL - but great for discipline and structure.Originally posted by d000hg View PostJudo they're less likely to try fancy kicks on their mates. It's also arguably more useful IRL if that's of any relevance at allComment

Maybe you could get them into close-harmony singing SY??Originally posted by suityou01 View PostSY02 and I are frazzled. The reason?
SY03, 04, 05
By day they are little midget terrorists that run amok, making shrill noises while playing their games, demanding drinks, food, "Can you fix my toy Daddy", "Daddy, he hit me", "It wasn't me Daddy I didn't hit him" etc etc etc
By night they are masters of torture methods such as sleep deprivation, and Chinese "whining" torture. "I can't sleep Mummy, I had a bad dream", "I can't sleep, SY04 woke me up" etc etc etc
