It is probably true that many problems are as much about origin as religion and there are numerous stats (again, check the Office of National Statistics and similar sources) that the uneducated from all poor, war torn and very traditional societies do present major problems. People's attitudes generally reflect the societies they grew up in, they do not change once they pass a border.
PS Pacharan almost certainly is right. Tower Hamlets is predominantly Bangladeshi. It is not an Indian area.Last edited by xoggoth; 5 January 2011, 14:24.bloggoth

The Afghanis I have met are all quite psychologically damaged. Each of them has required counselling. I think that if I grew up under a hard father, hard environment, no education I'd probably turn out like that.McCoy: "Medical men are trained in logic."

Originally posted by pacharan View PostOh come on. I was merely pointing out the facts. Tower Hamlets is predominantly Bangladeshi. It's also run by religious / left wing nuts. Why else would they wish to be twinned with Jenin in the West Bank FFS? And please don't accuse me of racism.
Is there a problem with being twinned with Jenin? I agree with Chuchill, btw. Your verbal "body language" has indicated that from the start.McCoy: "Medical men are trained in logic."

Ah, here comes Churchill with his usual "wisdom".
So that's it for me. I think we should let this thread die. One can post a reputable link and it is always ignored so why bother? Nobody is interested in a serious debate about facts, just the usual mud slinging and parroting of PC nonsense by the usual individuals without ever first checking the facts. There is a case for political correctness as a more positive viewpoint helps to integrate British citizens of whatever origin. However, the time for that is once the serious issues have been faced up to and steps taken to tackle the deleterious effect on our own society.
It is usually a good indicator that a thread has degenerated into complete idiocy when Lilelevis gets involved. Not a rational or informed thought has ever entered its skull.
I suggest you don't waste your time either pacharan.bloggoth
