While hugging his girlfriend a man notices a bad smell and says "honey, did you put the garbage out?" and she gets all offended. The next time he embraces her there is no smell, but when he kisses here there is a foul taste and he can't help reacting, offending her again. Later he sees her tidying up and there is no smell but an awful sloshing, popping, dripping noise and she can see he has heard it.
Later he comes home and all is dark. She cries "don't turn on the light" but it's too late. An ancient rotting corpse staggers towards him. "We have been together too long and I can't hide what I am from you any more, my darling. Just love me for what I am, let me live"
