If he's admitting manslaughter but not murder maybe she went round to his with that missing pizza and a sex game went wrong resulting in her strangulation, he panicked and dumped her body.
Sounds plausible to me if that's the kind of picture the defence are going to paint.
Though not sure if say she did a Hutchence or Carradine and he then dumped the body if it's possible to be done for manslaughter after an accidental death, so he's probably more involved than that.
