tried to adopt an AIDS-infected orphan in Ukraine last year, but were thwarted by government regulations.
The regulations that seem to have denied him the prospects of the best medical care money can buy, and a fabulously extravagant and carefree life in Beverley Hills. Oh no, we can't have that if such a course of action might offend the tender sensibilities of some largely unaffected bigot somewhere.
Some people really ought to be asking themselves why it is they don't feel "comfortable" with this.
I'll tell you what I don't feel comfortable with. Tis the legions of y-shaped little trollopes with no idea who the fathers of their posses of children are that taint every town in the land. Who then expect me to subsidise their selfish lifestyle choices through my taxes. They are much more of a problem than a couple of rich homosexuals offering a better life to a surrogate child in some other part of the planet. I suppose that makes me sexist?

This topic is something I have personally struggled to reconcile myself.
I understand the arguments of the child having a better life but, to me, homosexuality is a personal choice (cue abuse) and as such, as part of that choice, you forgo the gift (and having children is a gift, not a right) of having children - biological or bought.
