Great to see you back in such short order.

Upon arrival they hooked me up to an ECG, had a good look, then took me in for an angiogram; this identified a major blockage in the left anterior descending artery which they immediately treated with angioplasty and the installation of a stent.

You might be (slightly) interested to know one of the projects I'm running involves developing a software simulator for stents and associated paraphernalia. Did yours go in through the thigh or the wrist?

They used what I think of as the "Femoral artery" - apparently nobody describes it like that anymore, though I don't know why

Anyway, I have the most astonishingly huge multicoloured bruise spread across my groin and thigh, and apparently it'll get even more spectacular before it goes away
