Just take a bin bag out there, sledges are for pussies.Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Fond memories of some time in Durham.Originally posted by d000hg View PostIt would have been absolutely incredible sledging yesterday. Lots of grassy slopes in the town centre with 6-12" fresh, barely touched snow - amazingly in a student town hardly anyone was about.
Tempted to try a tea-tray
Tea trays were used.
With tea and crumpets afterwards round an open fire watching the snow come down outside.
I would have happily stayed there if I could have found the work.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

Empty animal feed bags, great for impromptu sledging and they last longer than the bin bags.Comment

The whole town is out of sledges. My order hasn't arrived.
Noticed that the garden centre out of town had loads. Just drove over bought 20 at £11.99 drove the 3 miles back into town and put them outside my place at £16.99.
Sold 5 straight away.
