Am I allowed to say UK / Europe born in ads to weed out the Bobs & Nigerians?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

No. Besides, being born in Bobland or Nigeria does not make a person a Bob or a Nigerian.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

How do you know that all Indian- and Nigerian-born people would be unsuitable? If it's because experience tells you that most would not be able to do the job, then post the requirements and check that applicants are suitable. If OTOH it's because you don't want dark-skinned people, then that's illegal.

No it doesn't. Place of birth does not denote nationality or ethnicity.

Don't go dragging ethnicity into this! the criteria was UK born - not of non Indian extraction (UK born & bred Indians are OK - just the imports)

How about a British person who was born in India or Nigeria? Or Ireland for that matter?
