Just woke up to check the score, expecting the worst, seeing the best. Openers both with tons, third man in with a fifty, Aussie bowlers toiling all day for little reward. There is a lot to be happy about.

I think I will be up about 4 on Monday to watch an Aussie collapse, and England claiming a 1-0 lead (dreaming - it's going to be a draw)

Well, they kept the Australians below 500 but I don't think that there are many that would argue that England stand much of a chance of batting out for nearly two days, which is what they will need to do for the draw.

Lesson One: Don't buy into that Aussie BS, their era is over for a while. One bowler and two of their batters got lucky. Normal service is resumed - Mitchell Johnson practicing his declaration bowling!
