Openers didn't do much better. Looking forward to the highlights.

I'd be worried about my £90 if I were you.

I'm not sure I really appreciate the TV review umpiring.

Yes there have been duff decisions in the past; which considering the pace of the game isn't a big shock; some have arguably changed the result of Tests, but when a decision is changed after 5 mins debate in an umpires box it feels a bit naff.

Thats a better performance from England.

Soupy - unlike yourself I cannot layabout listening to the Ashes all night - family and work.

I made my prediction - 2-1 to England and I'm sticking to it.

Englands bowlers are getting warmed up now and acclimatising to the conditions. Swann may only get another 2-3 wickets in this match but later tests will be interesting.

That's why they only get three per innings. I'm broadly in favour of it.

You can get to them after Katich & Watson.

15 wickets in 2 days, none too shoddy when the pitch seems to be decent (from what the commentators have said) and the ball isn't swinging like a boomerang, bit of a shame they had to stop early yesterday though.

Maybe it's just pessimism, but home side advantage aside, I think the Aussies seem to be playing better than the English so far.

Me to. There aren't usually a high number of bad decisions but when one happens it can completely change the shape of the game.

We could have done with that last wicket though.

Yes, but sooner would be better.
