I hope this post finds the HMG well, we know you read this site.
I hope the tax inspectors investigate the tax affairs for the category one referees in Scotland.
"Strike" "Industrial action" "Walk Out"
If I voted with other contractors on site and voted, with them, for industrial action you would have me over a barrel for IR35. Now an ex referee has came out and stated that they are self employed but is that the case? If you vote for a strike you are more an employee than a disguised employee, you are not self employed. A single continuous client for multiple contracts?
These cheats are picking up 800 a match and they will not be paying PAYE on that.

Here's hoping their "client" exercises their Right to Substitution this weekend. I hear the FAI Referees are available, are very competitively priced, and of course would be an ideal option given their cultural affiliations to Scotland.

Was thinking about that yesterday when Kenny Clark explained away the need for ballots, notice etc by saying 'Referees are self employed'.
Single 'client' co.
Client co decides where and when the work is carried out.
Worker must wear company uniform.
Worker must abide by every client co rule (with exceptions for Celtic games, obviously).
MOO is obviously present
I think an IR35 case against a referee would cheer everyone up
When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....

How sweet would THAT be?
Carlsberg Tuesday if that gets any traction!!

Celtic have information which if released, will damage the SFA & their entire integrity as a sporting body. So much so that it could also affect the participation of Scottish teams in Europe & International Competition. A "mole" within the SFA has given Dr Reid a dossier of match reports which have been changed at the orders of Hugh Dallas after they have been submitted - Celtic FC feature in 27 of these matches & individual events. The refs now feel undermined and bullied and want this out. They also know that Celtic have info on them but don't know how much. Dr Reid is willing to go all the way with the info he has. Graham Speirs has been legally blocked yesterday from publishing this story but has all the facts.
What makes it all the more convoluted is that there is an element of both. However over the last couple of seasons it seems to have become more marked. This has coincided with a period whereby the very survival of Rangers as a financial going concern has hinged on them receiving the guaranteed £10M that automatic qualification into the Champions League Group stages has meant. That lifeline has existed only for the SPL Champions so winning the title has been of paramount importance. Both titles have ended up being relatively close affairs. Both have gone the way of Rangers.
Now it might well have been the case that Rangers would have won the titles anyway, but both of those title wins have been strewn with contentious decisions which have, for the most part, tended to favour Rangers. There are entire blogs dedicated to highlighting these discrepancies, and despite challenges for Rangers fans to compile their own list of justifiable grievances, such evidence has failed to materialise.
Be that as it may, the past cannot now be changed, but it is not unreasonable for claims to be made for more transparency and accountability. That will, ultimately, benefit everyone as well as safeguarding Referees if indeed they do feel threatened.
OLD FIRM GTF!!!
Both clubs are the scum of the earth and 100% accountable for the demise of Scottish Football.....
Time and again you here voices from Both camps and supporters suggesting that Scottish football has been subsideised by both clubs yet since 1985/6, the Souness revolution, both clubs have spent over £370m.....yes over a third of a billion pounds on foreign transfer fees which drained the financial bloodline of scottish football dry.
This failed attempt to conquer europe only served to create apathy within the scottish game with the league becoming less competitive.
Advertisers and TV dropped out as other teams in the league saw masssive falls in attendance.
Now that they have drained Scottish football, like Locusts they are looking further afield.....EPL Beware these parasites will destroy your league!
Both clubs are despised on by the rest of Scottish Football......**** EM and the sooner both grounds are Nuked the better!
