Yes, one closed down in Beeston, Nottingham a few years ago.

I remember two on the A1 near Grantham closing a few years back. I cannot imagine where in France Mc Ds would be preferable to even the most rudimentary cafe scran - but that's just me.

They replaced it with something so much better a frigging Foxtons that looks some wierd office / bar hybrid.

They also closed the Wilmslow McD's a two floor joby, I can even remeber the place opening circa 1984 and going in on the first day.
.. and the one in Macclesfield town centre (mainly because they refused to pander to the locals and serve fries with greasy gravy).

Spooky - I was also at the Wilmslow one on their opening day!!

McDonalds in Wilmslow closed as Gourmet Burger Kitchen opened up - During the recession!!

                  Wilmslow is a weird place.

I think nearly all McD's these days are franchised.
