    Jesus. That's scary.

I have no idea how I'd deal with it if my little boy was bullied at school, or something like that - not really.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Trust me, I've been there. It sounds like a good idea in theory, but they just end up giving large quantities of post-war reconstruction funding to European countries.

Just a know-it-all, like most on CUK. Have you calmed down yet?

I think you are deliberately misunderstanding what he said. He is talking about a martial arts class here, not the Marshall plan.

Personally, I dont like the current emphasis on the arts and media, I would send the girls to martial sciences classes

Shirley the principle martial science is the determination of the trajectory of artillery pieces and the range of other projectile weapons which, of course, is where computing came in...

So send her on a Computer Science course. That'll stop her being picked on.

And herein lies the problem. By the time that witty line was half way out, you would have been hung on a hook in the changing rooms by your shreddies.

Seriously! Get your girls to taikwondo or something like that. It will teach them about fitness and self control. It will keep them safe from pests, etc, and it will give them a competitive interest that also keeps them fit.

The other thing that keeps bullies at bay is a quick wit - not sure if you can teach that to a kid but you could work on it by engaging them in some verbal sparring at home.

When I did martial sciences, I was a fourth dan at Origami, and I got a black belt in transTangental meditation, I could square the circle and fold you into little pieces, just by looking at you
