Seriously! Get your girls to taikwondo or something like that. It will teach them about fitness and self control. It will keep them safe from pests, etc, and it will give them a competitive interest that also keeps them fit.

The other thing that keeps bullies at bay is a quick wit - not sure if you can teach that to a kid but you could work on it by engaging them in some verbal sparring at home.
Where I come from, the stockbroker belt of Liverpool, we combine both wit with pugalistic skills, as in

That's why I've always liked Liverpool. When I lived in Manchester, they'd have dispensed with the chit chat and just bottled you.

That's not such a bad idea.

Matthew 5:38: You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'
39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.

Romans 12:19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay"

Leviticus 19:18 "Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbour as yourself. I am the LORD."

        Proverbs 24:29 Do not say, "I’ll do to them as they have done to me;
I’ll pay them back for what they did."

Romans 12:17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil.

1 Thessalonians 5:15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

Luke 9:54 When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?” 55 But Jesus turned and rebuked them.

I think the Bible's pretty clear on the matter.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

Teach her to give them a kick in the nuts.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

You are being a bit of a bully really, Boudica. Not really sure why.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Actually I retract it. She's not a bully. Rather she's acting like an over-emotional, vicious stereotype of womanhood. It's like something off Jeremy Kyle. No offence to less crazy ladies intended.
