Stephen Fry does not think women don't enjoy sex. And my two negative don't make a positive.
To clear up this whole confusion Stephen Fry has written a very, very long blog article. Please feel free to read it and report back with a summarised version.

All 2,874 words? OK. I'll use MS Word's AutoSummarize:
I don’t give print interviews. I did however agree to do one profile for a small gay glossy called Attitude. At some point we chatted about gay sexuality – well, you would wouldn’t you, for a gay magazine? – and as part of that conversation I repeated the old canard about how men, unlike women, were cursed with their uniquely pressing and annoying libidos. “Stephen Fry declares that women don’t enjoy sex.” I know that women enjoy sex. As a gay man, female sexuality is patently a closed book to me.
Summary
Fry's outburst came after an article quoted him as saying that straight women only go to bed with men "because sex is the price they are willing to pay for a relationship". In the comments, taken from an interview in the November edition of Attitude magazine, Fry also said: "If women liked sex as much as men, there would be straight cruising areas in the way there are gay cruising areas."
An Observer spokesperson said: "We have faithfully and fairly reproduced Stephen Fry's quotes in his interview with Attitude magazine. Fry, 53, said: "I feel sorry for straight men. Fry wrote back: "You've convinced me. I retire from Twitter henceforward. Bye everyone."
The tweeter apologised and Fry rapidly resumed tweeting Stephen Fry uses Twitter to voice fury over newspaper article | Media | The Guardian
Assuming that Fry is right, and the average bloke has a higher sex drive than the average woman, how does that explain what happens when the social restraints break down ?
I seem to recall reading somewhere that during the great plagues, women would hunt men down for nooky, and flaunt themselves very promiscuously. And it wasnt to form a relationship, thats for sure.

Surely the answer is that women are just as keen on sex as men, but they have to exercise caution/restraint/common sense, as the consequences can be considerably more life changing than they are for a man.
