I can't decide whether to hang on to my rapidly depreciating dollars or whether to cut my losses. At least the gold I bought at the same time as dollars last year has evened things up a little. -
I really can't decide what to do, I was keeping money in £ thinking property prices would come down, that has not happened yet.

Soon, none of this exchange rate talk will matter.

"what ever made you think paper was so valuable?"How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Gold is about £27/g, right? That means you could actually put 1g of gold in a special currency, like a plastic leaf with the gold inset (like the chip on a credit card). Of course then demand for gold would rocket, but they wouldn't need as much. That metal line on bank notes could be replaced with real gold.
Of course, getting rid of cash would be easier.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
