So we might as well re-nominate the Ship & Shovel - for those who aren't interested in the restaurant, it's a short walk from there to The Harp



There's about twenty people who have voted so far; on past showings, that probably means about six people showing up

S&S could possibly have the upstairs booked that night.

And with Belgo there is that old chestnut of the 30 turning into 6 and therefore becoming very expensive for the 6 that turn out paying for the 24 that didn't.

As for the Harp, it has good beer m but is always packed to the rafters. However there is a room upstairs, Mr Fitz, do you perchance have some sway with the managment of said establishment whereby we could reserve an area sans costs?

Deposit £10 each, 2 fixed menus £25 and £30 - the £30 looks better (more variety in the dishes you can choose from) and a "free" beer/glass of wine. Though they are saying that if we book and people don't show they'll want the full price of the meal.

Looking at the menus, it doesn't really cater for diabetic, non-alcoholic, non-asparagus loving veggies. So I agree with your statement.

No it isn't. If I wanted to drink Belgian beer, I'd go to Belgium. There are plenty of good pubs around Covent Garden.
