Moyles not paid for 2 months.

Is more about the manner of his complaint. If he has problems at work then they should be taken up at work. Not moaning to the people who pay his OTT wages. The fact that he makes so much makes his public whining even more unpalatable IMO. -

Normally I'd agree but that 'someone' is Chris Moyles king of the chavs, he's responsible for crimes against morality.Originally posted by d000hg View PostSo because someone isn't facing starvation each month, it's OK to simply not pay them? Seems like spite from those jealous of his high wage to me. I wonder if you'd all use the same language if a £500/day contractor posted here about not getting paid for a couple of months. After all, they're vastly overpaid to most of the public too.
Burn him/feed him to the birds.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

It's part of WHY they pay him so much, the fact he's honest... anyone who listens to the show knows rants are pretty common and not seeking news attention.Originally posted by administrator View PostIs more about the manner of his complaint. Plus it's a pretty good way to get useless paper-pushers off their arses. He said he had taken it up internally and this was his last resort option. It worked and probably got him more listeners...
Also, we don't pay his wages anymore than we pay policemens' wages and call tell them what to do.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

The difference being it is unnecessary for us to be paying something / one that could be in the private sector, without any difference to our safety. I don't think it is the role of the state or taxpayers to provide top 40 tunes to the lumpen proletariat.Originally posted by d000hg View Post

And what is more, he is a fat talentless slug. He could be replaced at the drop of a hat, if the career muppets that festoon the upper echelons of the Beeb ever left their ivory tower long enough to do a proper day's work!!Originally posted by Boudica View PostThe difference being it is unnecessary for us to be paying something / one that could be in the private sector, without any difference to our safety. I almost asked if you were a listener to his show when you took offence and this could be the reason why you cannot see my POV.Originally posted by d000hg View PostIt's part of WHY they pay him so much, the fact he's honest... anyone who listens to the show knows rants are pretty common and not seeking news attention.

Maybe it was all engineered by him to get at the people responsible and to try and get new listeners but personally I don't think he is that clever. To complain to his listeners, when a lot of people have taken wage cuts or have lost their jobs, about him not being paid for a couple of months was unprofessional and made me think less of him. I have absolutely no sympathy for him. He is over paid. He may have more listeners but personally I don't see why any radio presenter should be paid that much from the licence fee. I really hope the delays in his being paid were due to his contract not being quite right and it being renegotiated down a good chunk.
I am not telling him what to do, but in the same way that if a Policeman moaned to me in public about his wages I would tell him to shut up and get on with his job.Comment

If he decides to moan to his 'audience' about it. I have no issues with it. I don't think he's overpaid for the listening figures he generates.
