Romanian Gypsies

apparently some land is going up for sale near where I live and may end up becoming a semi permanent site for gypsies.

the people of our good town have clubbed together and are going to by the land - it is currently fields but we may look to turn it back into woodland.

the main issue with these travellers/gypsies what ever you want to call them is that they exist in a capitalist society with little to no form of regular income and this will simply lead to crime/illegal working/reliance on state.

as Spod says we can do things but what are they going to do to help themselves - we do not have infinite patience whilst they continue to rob our lawnmowers and tulip on our car bonnets

I'm confused now.

The Romanian type ones which I think are the ones France has expelled, if they aren't contributing, I do think they should go back to where they came from.

Anyway the 'Romanian Gypsies' should really be just called the Roma, a great deal of them here are from Slovakia.

It is sad that people born and brought up in a prosperous country despise people from the so called 'third world' who just want a better life and come here seeking it.

Tell me this, are all thieves in this country Roma ? Are all Roma thieves ?

My issue as the OP was with the Romanian Gypsies that are roaming around my neighbourhood in North London, taking whatever they see in anyones front garden, squatting in houses that someone owns, and fly tipping at every opportunity.

Walked pass a house, known to be inhabited by Roma, after getting off the bus last night and there is a bed base in the front garden. Lo and behold its gone this morning and on the pavement in the road next to my house with an additional armchair.

Recently we have had wooden window fram remains, fridges, bedstead dumped in the road alongside my house.

There wouldn't be an issue at all if they followed our laws, were reasonably to their neighbours etc, made some +ve contribution to the economy/society but they aren't and don't and the council and government do nothing about it.
