I quite enjoyed his programme last night, though I wish they'd allowed Tebbit to speak a bit more.

I liked it, and last week.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

I found it interesting enough, mostly to try to understand these types who you come across at sixth form and uni who are desperately latching on to every vaguely radical idea about. Standard teenage rebellion stuff but you didn't ever want to get talking to one of them. I could never be arsed myself since it didn't look like it would enhance my chances of scoring.
I was wondering however if this sort of energy and fire does push them to achieve in other ways, like him or not, he is doing pretty well these days.Comment

The only people prepared to protest these days are posh folk who want the right to hunt fluffy animals.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? In the first few days we were given a talk by the SU leader who told us not to pay our poll tax and ended with shouting "an end to this Thatcher scum!" again to much bewilderment to all us 18 years olds more worried about being away from home and having to do our own laundry etc. than radical politics. Will work inside IR35.
