Have you got someone close to talk to apart from us?

Recommend it. Don't even think of looking for an answer to all this, just talk, even if over a pint.

If you can get to the gym now and again it will help, as will avoiding all sugar and caffeine for the next couple of weeks.

A above all remember to ask yourself now and again, what's the worst that can happen?

I've noticed in a few people before, that their stress only seemed to manifest itself properly after the immediate (even sustained) threat factors had subsided.

Maybe there's something to that - perhaps the subconscious 'feels it's no longer in fight/flight mode' so it can let it all out now, without the risk of total-gibberfactor.

Check your BP... have that drink with a good mate you can talk to instead of using it to sleep... sounds like you're seeking counselling and have been exercising - all good.

Re your bereavement - sometimes these things sneak up on you and smack you when you're least expecting it. Been there, have the T-Shirt. Advice is to consciously, deliberately let yourself grieve, rather than to avoid the subject. Grief has a way of coming out eventually - if you resist or ignore or deny it, it will be ten-times worse.

Are you saying you were 16st over weight!

Quite aside from your personal trials and tribulations wouldn't losing the 9 stone cause some side effects possibly even

I would imagine everything you describe above, coupled with such large weight loss over this relatively small period of time has probably had a massive impact.

Glad you're getting your noggin sorted, hope you feel much better soon.

Well done on the weight loss and contract - things will feel better soon.

Flippin' heck T! That could have a massive effect on your health!

Since you went to Brussels you got it done privately? I'd go to your GP and make sure your diet is correct - that can be a real problem with gastric bands done abroad, many people only get the minimum assessment and support.

                  Get yerself checked out.
