I was on holiday in the Scilly Islands while they filmed an episode of Challenge Anneka. I think it was on Bryher but it was a long time ago.

I saw Anneka singing in a choir at an open-mic music night in Kensal Green earlier this year.

I saw one of the Oasis brothers (can't tell them apart), Helena Bonham Carter & Paul Whitehouse, all walking around marylebone nr my old house.

I once sat at the next table to Rod Stewert & his entourage & Penny Lancaster (who is impossible not to look at) in the pub.

I used to regularly see Phil Jupitus leaving the BBC as I rolled into work nearby, also various other bands and actors occasionally.

I once attempted to chat up Gaby Roslin. Had I recognised her beforehand I probably wouldn't have.

My missus has worked with or for loads of them in a professional capacity.

Edit: When I was young, Kim Wilde came in the shop where I worked. I also helped service Frederick Forsyth's car when I did my work experience.

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Last time I was in the Ivy for dinner, Jude Law was in there. Also Michael & Shakira Caine, Valentino, Terence Stamp and the Scots bloke from Gergory's Girl.

I also was on the next table to Alan Sugar an Langan's.

Was on the next table to Dita Von Teese at Bofinger's in Paris.

          etc etc.

After arriving at Heathrow Terminal 3 on an early morning flight from the far-east I headed straight for the smoking area at the earliest opportunity and found Gail Porter was there too smoking away. (That was back in the days that she still had hair, and indeed there was still a smoking area indoors).

Back in the country town I used to live in there was a pub that you used to go to before ten to eleven and they would shut their front door and let you carry on. One night I was in there drinking with my mates and we noticed that Sir Timothy West and Prunella Scales were also in there for the lock-in, sitting at the next table. They were in a play at the local theatre at the time.

Peter Davison once called in to my local village pub when I was in there to ask for directions.

Same pub, the landlord asked me one night if I had heard of a firm in the music business called RPM. This was because someone had just turned up in the flashest motor he had ever seen and was being introduced to people as being such and such from RPM. A few days later the landlord tells me that it wasn't RPM it was REM. doh!

I cannot for the life of me remember why I was in this location but one Saturday afternoon I was in a pub on the south side of Clapham Common to watch an England v Germany game. Lisa Rogers was holding court there for the game too. It was her with an entourage of blokes.

I used to live around the corner from Sir Ian McKellen so I can't really count him.

I guess that this game is going to be much easier for people that do or have lived in London.

EDIT. I almost forgot standing in the queue at the Post Office on Eastcheap behind David Suchet one morning. He was on his mobile arranging for something to be delivered at home the next day. He gave out his address, his phone number. It was weird, he looks exactly like Poirot but sounds nothing like him.
