If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I'll be the one doing the outsourcing.

Don't knock it. That's the equivalent of 100K Sterling here.

BTW excuse my ignorance but how much tax would be deducted from that salary , I assume India has a taxation on income, not all countries do this.

I would certainly be interested in living in India as a Prince on that salary, Ive been to Goa so far, nice beaches !

If it wasn't for Mrs Lucifer about to give birth to young Damien I would. That is like earning 250k euros pa here, at least.

"Globalisation may be unavoidable, but what impact will it have on our lives"

Yes, globalisation is 'inevitable' isn't it? Keep drumming it in Auntie Beeb and the inevitability of it becomes truth.

"In this flat world, it doesn't matter whether your accountant sits in Marlborough or Mumbai, and whether your customer care centre is based near Sausalito or Soweto.

Your factory's supply chain is fully integrated, and stretches from Shenzhen and Chennai to Central Europe.

It makes for lean, efficient companies. It drives down cost, improves profits and keeps inflation low."

As long as inflation is low it doesn't matter about mass unemployment?

"How can workers in the West hang on to their jobs?" was a much debated question.

Be flexible and don't specialise too much, said Jagdish Bhagwati of Columbia University."

Yes, don't master anything and remain thick. Knowledge is NOT power - flexibility is(!). My ar$e.

"Health and pensions systems should not be set up so that workers find it difficult to change employers, he added."

That's right, lets get rid of health and pensions systems altogether, then there will be nothing our flexible employees will find 'difficult'.

"It's wrong to tell people that going to university will guarantee them a job, says Adair Turner, the chairman of the UK's low pay and pensions commissions, because the technology sector simply won't offer that many jobs."

Education is devalued anyway so what's the difference?

""Everything that can be automated will be automated," he predicts."

WRONG - labour costs are so cheap it's more cost effective to import labour to do such tasks; this being the ultimate death of the modernist dream (automation and more leisure time).

Obvious question time, any decent job boards specialising in requirements for UK IT people for India or China ?
