That sounds difficultOriginally posted by sasguru View Postthat's where SAS programming comes in - you have to summarise the data, in my case longitudinal data with multiple records per subject into one record per subject.

That's what I said - programming is not difficult because its a constrained universe - anyone with some logic and persistence (and usually no life) can usually solve any programming problem given time.Originally posted by AtW View PostThat sounds difficult
Who knows, if you were a competent programmer, perhaps SKA would have got to its present state in half the time?
On the other hand building relationships, driving throgh change, having strategic vision, buidling a business - these are hard tasks which is why they don't let you anywhere near them in your company.
HTH but IDI.Hard Brexit now!

Everything in that post is factual. If it winds people up it's only because the truth hurts. If it doesn't, it's still completely true.Originally posted by SupremeSpod View PostYou're not very good at this winding people up crap, are you?

SAS, you really must put up more of a fight. What's wrong? Are you pining for Minestrone and MF?

Dreaming again?
Having a fight with you is like fighting a toothless and aging hamster with halitosis. Unpleasant but the outcome is guaranteed.Hard Brexit now!

Actually the vast majority of programming problems are so hard that not only have they not been solved, but it's not even know how hard they are. Hard problems far outnumber solved problems, with the former set being almost infinite. And some programming problems are known to be so hard that it is known that they will never be solved.Originally posted by sasguru View PostThat's what I said - programming is not difficult because its a constrained universe - anyone with some logic and persistence (and usually no life) can usually solve any programming problem given time.

So, in conclusion sas is working on trivial programming problems.
Hardly surprising - apart from the fact that he is actually working inbetween posting tulip on here.Comment
