Thebest book I'd recommend to people is 'Creating You & Co'.
Creating You & Co.: Learn To Think Like The CEO Of Your Own Career:Amazon:Books
That started me off on myown track."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

Apart from the usual Bedwetter reply, my humble advice would be.
Think about what it is you really want to do, Food and Drink is a hard cut throat business and not just a matter of serving some fine wine with a plate of antipasta.
If your still serious get yourself off to night school / part time courses and see if it still interests you.
Or if you have other interests study them through the OU like what I does. I'm doing an Art & Classics degree hopefully going on to a full time masters. It may lead somewhere, it may not but at least whilst I'm doing this ball ache piece of piss software stuff I have something to think about that interests me.

P.S. Don't just think about it do something, in any direction, you'll feel better already as i your taking control and not letting life wave to you as it passes you by.But I discovered nothing else but depraved, excessive superstition. Pliny the youngerComment

It's all about being realistic.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

It seems that even your hopes and dreams are culled from prime time TV. Perhaps you should get up off the sofa and do some exercise. You'll probably find that helps with the attention span as well. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment
