Came in today after 2 weeks off and I discover all my developer tools have been automatically deinstalled because I changed budget codes. No chance is that friday deadline going to be met as it takes 5 days to get all the tools back again.

Do I give a tulip? Not really, I send of a few emails to cover my ass then get ready of a week of doing nothing, working on Plan B, browsing the web and long lunches. Fantastic really.

You need to go back to being a junior permie programmer where productivity is expected.

If you want to be productive go back to being permie, contractors rarely get the good jobs and if they do it is often by cock sucking and not through merit.

I used to be technical lead of a company, now I earn 3 times as much sitting here picking my arse. If they want work out of me then they just have to ask, often I am not asked because nobody at clientCo is any good.
