From CharlieDontSurf: "Why are people so focused on Capello's stubborness, his 4-4-2, his refusal to pick Joe Cole etc. The real problem is that the England team collectively have been unable to pass to a team mate or control the ball. Sort that out and we have a good chance."

Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.
Will be watching it via Interweb at my desk with headphones on.
...my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...
I say again.
England to win 1-0, and the USA also to win by a single goal.
That will mean the Yanks topping the Group and England going through as runners-up.
I also predict that the Hun will win their Group and, rather predictably, will knock England out in the next round.
At that point, all the English patriots that have been exhorting those of us from the other countries of the United Kingdom to throw our support behind the English Footy team, can turn their attentions to backing the last Brit at Wimbledon.
I mean it is only fair. In the World Cup, England have been quite singularly attempting to enhance simply their own national position, and not that of the UK as a whole. Yet still the entreaties poured in, suggesting it was some sort of national duty.
Oor Andy is clearly representing GB as a whole as he attempts to bring the title home. How could anyone consider NOT backing him?
Or shall I dust off the hypocrisy watering can and give the recalcitrants a good soaking?

Support who the hell you want. It's the "anyone but England" philosophy that seems to be prevalent in more than a few Scots that I find unseemly.
