Indeed it's not just the Scots... lots of Irish feel the same although, for me it's only when Ireland are playing England that I wouldn't support England, otherwise, why not, it's my home now.

I know. I recall working with an English fella during the qualifiers for WC1994. We were both over in Cork the night England played Norway, and left the hotel to find a pub that was screening the match. We found one just after the match had kicked off and were at the bar buying drinks when a huge cheer went up. My mate presumed it was because England had scored. The bewildered look on his face when we sat down and he realised it had been a Norwegian goal was truly sad to see. He just could not believe that the Irish would not be fully behind England.

Not sure that I can get too worked up about going as far as actively supporting them, or anyone bar Scotland for that matter, but I certainly don't go around rooting for anyone else either.
I do not expect the average Englishman to give much of a toss over how Scotland fare, so neither should they expect anything different from me.
I should mention though, that any Englishman that turns out for an activity where they are representing Blighty as a whole gets my full backing.

I don't know, there wouldn't be any Scots in the squad, 'coz they is tulip!

Being "tulip" is hardly a factor that need exclude one if current performances are anything to go by.

For one thing, I am pretty sure we could come up with a Goalie with less slippy fingers...........whoever would have thought THAT?

And a half decent manager too.............
