LOL! To behonest, if I were ever to say anything good about Dr Who I'd say that it was at its best when Sylvester McCoy played the Doctor. He had a certain quirkiness and also I was young enough to watch it when he was the doctor

Well to be fair, in the words of Stephen Fry. It's for children and wonderfully written!

In the 1960's disguising the Tardis as a police phone box, was am ingenious idea...

But it looks rather silly these days.
                I'm alright Jack

                  How about one of these?

Kebab van would be more in keeping these days.

The Tardis Model 20 - which the Doctor 'borrowed' from the Time Lords was capable of changing itself to 'blend into its background by virtue of the Chameleon circuit.

Unfortunately this component had malfunctioned - along with the heating - the model 20 also suffered from poor navigation .

Hence the Tardis would take the form of the PoliceBox as it appeared in a London dockyard in the First episode - A Child of Time - 1963.

Colin Baker did fix the Chameleon Circuit - in an episode involving the Cybermen circa 1985 - the Tardis took the form as a pink Victorian Dresser as it had materialised in a London scrapyard.

Finally - who was the only other Doctor who claimed to know how to fix the Chameleon Circuit crica 2008 - but never actually did it ?
