      No cords. I think it's the tweed jacket that misled them.

        Wales and West was taken over in 2001 and divided into 2 crumbles;

        Wales and Borders in the marshes and Wessex Trains in the West country.

        This morning's set has obviously been awaiting a paint job for a long time!

          No delays.No smells, orchestras, cellists or OAPs.

          Fit blonde MILF in opposite seat.

            Always a challenge if you've had an evening in the pub, as I did yesterday.

              Now on intercity train leaving the Hague on time; even more exciting news is I HAVE A SEAT!

              Electricity socket not working.

              This time no smells, no OAPs, no orchestra, no cellists, no MILFs. Which might explain why there was a seat free.

              Seeing as it´s snowing in the north the journey could yet go horribly wrong.

                  Gave up this morning after two trains to Utrecht were cancelled, one while I was standing in it (all seats full); then railway information system failed and staff were unable to advise passengers.

                  Again, a tiny little bit of winter and the entire Dutch railway system has failed, despite having advertised that they'd 'invested' quajillions of euros to be ready for anything winter can throw at them.

                    Dutch railways website has now been inaccessible for more than an hour; seeing as the railway staff also have to use that site with their PDA's the organisation is now completely crippled.

                      After waiting for the tram for 20 minutes this morning,(after heavy snowfall), I gave up, dug the Z out of the snow, scraped the ice off windows and lights with a Scorpions CD cover left by previous owner of the car, and slid to the office with the anti-spin light on almost constantly.

                      It was fun to start sliding sideways towards the car next to me when the red lights turned green. I think I will do some slidey fun on the way home.
