Yes women are being pornified - I don't like it (really) but as usual, as a bloke, it's somehow my faultComment

Disagree on that one, it spans all 'social strata' (see 'it' girls etc). IMHO it's become like womens' lib never happened. Empowerment these days seems to mean sexual objectification of women in pop culture. Twenty five years ago Benny Hill's angels were seen as being improper, sexist, demeaning to women, and old hat. Yet now women strutting around in their knickers in kids music vidoes fluttering eyelashes at some alpha male is seen as the height of "girl power". I'm just waiting for the remake of On the Buses.Originally posted by Halo Jones View PostAs stated before I think this depends on the social strata of the people in question. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

This place gets more like Mumsnet every day.
Oh, I’m sorry….I seem to be lost. I was looking for the sane side of town. I’d ask you for directions, but I have a feeling you’ve never been there and I’d be wasting my time.Comment
