Funny that the length of the posters Arbor Vitae is important to women in this discussion. We would be slaughtered if the size of your dumpling shop was mentioned.
OK mods that obscure enough?

So why not reject it, just because boys want to treat you like that doesn't mean you have to live upto it. If you have got you're own minds why don't you just tell us to flip off.Originally posted by Halo Jones View PostI think the latest female rant is that due to music videos, movies etc teenagers are seeing women portrayed as sex objects so the boys treat them like that & the girls accept it.

As Bagpuss said its about empowerment. Apparently sassy, sexy and super intelligent babes rock and live next door. The reality that most of us are average either in looks or intellect and attract similar is being denied to most young people.
They need to know your actions make you great not your handbag or dress choice. Also Richard Gere only whisks you off dressed in full uniform in films.
Personally I like the idea of keeping something back for behind closed doors classy & very slightly sexy is good, looking like a lady of the night is bad.
Two daughters approaching the teenage years so its going to be fun.

Wasn't it Germain Greer who wrote that any normal women would taste her own menstrual fluid? Sounds good to me. Did that once. Mmmm!

It's scary really isn't it. Part of the reason I'm relieved I didn't have a daughter, I don't know if I'd know how to deal with all that stuff.Originally posted by Halo Jones View PostI think the latest female rant is that due to music videos, movies etc teenagers are seeing women portrayed as sex objects so the boys treat them like that & the girls accept it.
As stated before I think this depends on the social strata of the people in question.
I hope that it is a passing fad & that the kiddies grow up & realise that both sex’s are equal as humans or they will just pass it on to their children & they cycle begins anew
