I know you are on tentahooks but he can wait until next Monday at the latest to call an election on May 6th.

We all know that they are skint so the campaign is going to be the shortest ever.

I was wondering about this ... I remember in the old days say the 80s they both started the General Election campaign MONTHS before the actual day of the ballot. Something smells fishy here Baldrick ... I think that democracy has been compromised and sold down the river !

They'd never be able to hold a modern voter's attention for MONTHS. It's going to be a nightmare keeping anyone interested for a couple of weeks these days.

Granted - he doesn't want to announce it too early, but it's not like there's been any doubt regarding the date, so why not hop along to the palace and get it over with.
