Shame about the new theme music. It was excellent in the last series and is carp now.

      I like the pimped-up Tardis.

I miss the old style theme from way back when.

Yeah, not too keen on them.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Back in the day when the Radiophoniic Workshop looked like an ironmongers? That was good.

Yup, bit surprised they've felt that changing something that iconic was ever a good idea.

I remember seeing some kids programme donkeys years back where they showed the Tardis noise was made by drawing an old and fairly rusty mortice key up an upturned piano "harp" strings.

I think I agree. I barely remember the old Dr Who, but the new (before this series) theme seemed to be very similar from what I remember, while still being modern... same with the intro video.
However it's been 3 (?) series so a change seems fair enough, and they haven't completely changed it.

                  Enjoyed it a lot.

From what I've read, this new Matt Smith incarnation is going to be more proactive as a Doctor.

Summoning the aliens back to earth to give them a threatening warning is just the start.

Notice the use of a gun in the "to come" montage ?

This Doctor is going to kick ass. No more Mr Nice Guy....
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

WHS - didn't like the new tune.

Mind you, I watched the start of "Time and the Rani" and the credits and special effects seem to have improved somewhat since then

I haven't seen it since that bloke off Vision On did it. Is the Master still in it? Didn't the guy who played the original die in a car crash or something?
