It's the hairy hands that does it. Sorry."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested." -
So what happened then Sas, did you let yourself get spit roasted on the casting couch by a couple of Hays Recruitment agents for an extra £10 p/h.

When an agent phones you up about a 3 month contract in Slough, it doesn't count as head hunting.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostAnd I was approached today as well.

Sorry to burst your bubble but it’s quite common, I get calls from agencies every 2-3 months (although it is good for the ego)Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostAnd I was approached today as well.

I am getting several per week at the moment (due to having a couple of hot skills listed on my linkedin profile) - it's actually quite annoying. 90% of them are for permie posts.Originally posted by Halo Jones View PostSorry to burst your bubble but it’s quite common, I get calls from agencies every 2-3 months (although it is good for the ego)"A life, Jimmy, you know what that is? Not wanting to boast, well OK wanting to boast, not a week goes by when I don't get two or three calls from agencies.
But surely headhunting is when they specifically earmark you personally for a role as soon as it arises, knowing your past achievements and reputation in that area, rather than digging you up on Linkedin with a keyword search.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

I notice that some agents use Headhunted or it's derivations in the email subject just to make it look a bit more special.
IMO being headhunted means you're being offered the job without having to interview based on your previous experiences working with the right people or from your work in the industry community.Coffee's for closersComment
