The guy who sorted out this job really earned his money. Handled negotiation of Holidays, salary, bonus, the lot.
In fact money wasn't even mentioned until Thursday last week. Deffo showed up most recruitment companies I've worked with in the past as the chancers they really are.
Dodgy, that doesn't mean you mate, you're the king of the brown envelope
thought you'd gone!!
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think
A headhunter acts only for a client. He does not place people looking for a job. The headhunter will have been assigned a task for which he is paid money up front to explore the finite ends of the market to find the best and most suitable people in that entire market and present a short list to the client.
Headhunting is not a referral it goes much deeper than that. Headhunters do not work from databases. Headhunters have specific knowledge of their industries so that they can technically assess the qualities of the candidates as well as their client hiring managers.
They employ researchers to find target companies and all their employees within the appropriate departments.
Headhunters never advertise.
I hop that clears it up for you all. If someone here thinks they have been headhunted it is more likely that their boss has given away their name hoping that they will get recruited by someone else
Most top managers and executives change jobs through headhunters very few are placed by recruitment agencies or advertising or linkedin
