I’ve been trying that with blue fin tuna but it’s still going extinct. Must eat more sashimi. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014 -

I'll check them out next time.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

Pigs trotters are good in stews; they make it all a bit thicker and more gelatinous. Try a Milanese cassouela sometime.Originally posted by EternalOptimist View PostIn fact when I was a kid, there was never enough food to go around, we were always hungry. My mum and dad used to eat tripe, but us kids weren't required to, and didn't.Originally posted by EternalOptimist View PostIn fact when I was a kid, there was never enough food to go around, we were always hungry. About the same here. I was well into adulthood before I could eat Brussels sprouts. My brother used to be physically sick at the dinner table when made to eat his greens.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostThe only vegetables I liked as a child were carrots, peas, runner beans and beetroot. The only animal I didn’t like to eat was, and still is, salmon.
I'm not a big fish eater, though cod and chips is nice, but I can't eat a lot of salmon type fish.Comment

Mum used to get rabbits from the next door neighbour who hunted with his Ferrets. She'd tell us kids it was chicken.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostMy mum and dad used to eat tripe, but us kids weren't required to, and didn't."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment

Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

I don't like tripe, but I rather enjoy eating liver. Preferably calf’s liver, sliced thinly, grilled and sprinkled with lemon, but also fried pig’s liver with bacon and mushrooms, or chicken livers with lettuce and vinaigrette, a delicacy of le Frogland. Recently in Deutschland I had some brawn with beetroot; delicious.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostMy mum and dad used to eat tripe, but us kids weren't required to, and didn't.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument?
