Thank you for the advice: I'd normally remove my email address from the OP but I would then be accused of selective editing so I'll leave it there.

At least change it to something like "so-and-so at example.com" so it isn't converted to a mailto: link - that makes it less easy for spammer tools to automatically harvest it, and prevents Google from giving it special treatment in search results.
