If you return to Cheltenham by train at around 19:15 on the closing day of the festival, it will take you five minutes to get off Platform 1 as a vast throng of extremely drunk people tries to go the other way. Still, they close the stairs for safety reasons, so at least they aren't falling on top of you.Comment

Worked there three years back and was trying to get back from work during the races rush so took a back road. Completely stationary. Then I recovered from my rage enough to notice Iwas across the railway line with nowhere to go. Twice I've done that now.bloggoth
