I never said anything like this against Scotspine or ferret or admin - but it took me just 24 hours to form an opinion about you, and to a lesser degree other new mods, but you certainly stand out.

IMO you don't fit CUK community as a mod, now maybe there are some parts of CUK community don't fit your model of forum, that's very possible however if that's the intention of the appointments then it should be clearly spelled out by admin, and if it's your own view of how forum should be run then I find it incompatible with CUK's historical way things were done.

What are you on about? CUK is not special, it's just another forum community. All of the forums I frequent have much stricter moderation than CUK and this does not stop a tight community lasting many years - I've been on one forum over a decade with many members as old as me, who somehow manage to discuss politics, religion, etc without getting banned for insulting each other.
