you have to explain yourself to, often drunken, bums

You only get to see the IP addresses (to determine who is a sockie) if you are admin.

Moderators don't get to see IP addresses, and can't look at PMs, unless they also have database access.

I think that you should have at least 5000 posts before you are a moderator. Preferably more than 9000 posts.
