The plan for me is to move into a directors role within the business. I was on this path until recently. I dont want to stick around on geeky stuff for ever you know!Originally posted by AtW View PostNo, I've got high standards and prefer fit ones, MBA is optional extra...What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

Then it might be for you, if you are worried about costs then the OU is the most affordable route.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostThe plan for me is to move into a directors role within the business. As a Director let me give you a hint (not from my experience but I learn from others) that would make your Directorship long and prosperous - don't punch employees!Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostThe plan for me is to move into a directors role within the business.

It sounds like you've got the interest and the future use so go for it. I really enjoyed it. Make sure you choose the course which is right for you and what you want to do in the future.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostThe plan for me is to move into a directors role within the business. Hmm. An interesting (and may I say refreshing) take on MBAs...Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostStarted one once on Open University and then transferred to MSc when the bulltulip became too much to take."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

I did a 3 day Benefits Management course there, nice campus (great for those who like aircraft) and in the middle of nowhere so less likely to get distracted. I've a friend who's doing his MBA there and there was a bit of a misunderstanding when I mentioned Cranfield - the MBAers don't realise that they do other courses as well...
I went to a party at his place at saw his group - he was the oldest in it, they were all young and ambitious..."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

There were two distinct groups on my MBA. The younger (starting at 24 FFS) group who were treating it as another year at uni and the older group who were doing it for the subject matter and the contacts. Partly that's because I did a full time course. Part time courses tend to be the older group mainly.Originally posted by cojak View PostI went to a party at his place at saw his group - he was the oldest in it, they were all young and ambitious...Loopy LooComment
